CSI #365-4 Sydney

Hi there everyone, CSI #365-4 sketch is up and running this week in fact It finishes tonight on the 28th Feb.

And with such an amazing colour palette,
I just had to join in.

So here is my page that I have created
using a photograph on one of our travels to Sydney.

Such a beautiful Habour - we were lucky enough to have a wonderful day on the water on a boat tour.

Using flowers, metal key, Texture papers, rubons
on the photo corner.

Journalling hidden " We loved Sydney so much, that
we made a Promise to her that we would visit here
at least every 2-3 years"

For some reason the flowers look a bit orangey in colour, but they are not is real life, they are more browny in colour....must be the bad light on the layout. Oh well,

Hope you have time to check out all the
amazing layouts at CSI.

Thanks for looking
Have a great weekend.
Hoping to have some wonderful news tomorrow,
to share with you all.
till next time

The background is completely covered with
old paper too.

Also the leaves are made from Washi tape

Australian Scrapbooking Ideas issue 25 - Altered Books

Hi everyone,

Today, .......I am super
excited that the lastest issue of
"Australian Scrapbooking Ideas" Issue 25
is out now and I my assignment
was to alter and use "Recycled Books".

I created two layouts using old book pages and
also an Altered old book.

Today I will sharing with you all my
"Altered Book" I will show
the two layouts some time in the next few weeks.......

Here is the inside of the book
It was an old book which I transformed
into a decor piece to be displayed
on a shelf or table.
All the materials and how to make
your own very Altered book with step-by steps
is in the magazine, so do yourself a favour and purchase ASI #25 magazine at your local scrapbooking store or newsagent shop.

To tell the truth I have been making these types of books for a very long time, I made my very first book
back in 1993, back when decoupage was very
popular then in the crafting world
... I would make them, and give them out
to my friends and family as gifts.....So, when my assignment was given to me (about altering books.....I knew exactly what to create.

Details inside my altered book -

Outside cover of the book -

Please note that this book was very old,
and not one that would be read now ,
it was an old science book with old
equations and very much out of date.....
I try to use books that are not useful and out of date.

Here is the cover of the lastest magazine
ASI #25 out now. That's my book
in the left hand side at the bottom of
the front page.

Thanks for looking
Cheers Adriana  XX  :)
Have a great week everyone.....
