Vintage Christmas Book - Megs Garden

Vintage Christmas Mini Book

Hi everyone,
Today is my day for sharing my Vintage Christmas book I have created with the wonderful papers from Meg's Garden, "Musical Christmas".

The Cover and book
I used the accordion book which Meg’s garden sells and glue the pages all together to create 6 page book plus cover and back cover.
I then hinged the book together with Tim Holtz Diecut and brads, only after I adhered the papers to the covers.
On the cover I used a chipboard frame and adhered glue and glass glitter a bird charm, vintage image , velvet flowers and Jewel Pin, all these are available from Meg’s garden website.

Inside the book
Each page is decorated with the different Musical Christmas papers, each page I have attached German scrap white border, cut out Vintage images and created Snowflakes with the papers and glitter.
The poem I found from an old Christmas poem book.

Today in Adelaide is a special day for all children,
once a year 300,000 people line up in the city streets and watch the spectacular "Christmas Pageant". There are bands, over 80 floats, clowns, music, smiling faces from children, excitement and at
the very end "Santa" arrives and then he will sit in the "Magic Cave" till Christmas Eve and listen
to all the requests one by one of what children would love for Santa to bring to them on Christmas Day,
But only if they have been good!!!
This event happens every year and it has been running for 80 years now. Just a magical day for all the children and it means Christmas is only 6 weeks away. I can't believe how quickly this year has gone by. Have great weekend everyone and now I must be off to decorate the Christmas tree with my family.
HO HO HO !!!!!

Cheers Adriana xx  :)

So beautiful Adriana, there's so much detail to look at it must have taken ages to make. I love the laced edged borders and the frames look amazing.

What a fantastic tradition, 80 years and on! We have nothing similar over here, cannot even begin to imagine what it's like. Your book is chock-a-block with Christmas glimmer and shine, absolutely scrummy! Beautiful beautiful work sweetie! xoxo
