CSI#53 - Special Guest Investigator for January

Hello there everyone,
so happy to be Special Guest Investigator for the month of January here are CSI .
 Happy Birthday to CSI,
1 year old, congratulations Debbi.

Check out this week amazing challenge
all the details are  HERE

I am totally thrilled about this wonderful opportunity. I just love the challenges and color palettes at CSI, and also I am totally amazing of wonderful talented and awesome creative Design Team layouts each week as well as members layouts.

When I saw the color palette and knew exactly what I was going to create for my page.

In my neighbourhood Jacaranda trees are lined in my street. Every year around the end of November they bloom into beautiful colors of purple and blue bell shaped flowers. The whole street smells and looks amazing. Here is a picture of what the street looks like. When the flowers drop on the ground it looks like a carpet of purple haze!

My page is called “Jacaranda Flowers” after the flowers on the Jacaranda Tree”.
Here is my layout I created.

Jacaranda Flowers - CSI#53

Materials used -
Imaginarium designs alphas and picket fence chipboard.
Transparency from Meg's Garden (fancy chair)
Flowers - Kaisercraft blooms

I have chosen for

EVIDENCE
Flowers
Pleating of some paper under the photo
Texture paste around the trees then added paint.
Metal dragonfly and photo corners.
Embossed dotted paper - background.

TESTIMONY
Inspirational words in journaling – Soft, Lovely, Quiet
The Journaling on scalloped circles, reads
“ Jacaranda flowers are soft, lovely pretty bells of flowers. In a quiet street they cover all the footpaths and streets like a carpet of purple haze”

Totally love the colors combination with the softness of purples and blues.

Here is a photo of what the street looks like when all the flowers fall onto the ground. The whole street is covered with these gorgeous blooms, it is really pretty.

and here another close up of the soft flowers on the trees.

Thanks so much for having me at CSI this month,
hope you can join in on the fun too
Cheers Adriana XXX

I love this Adriana! This tree surrounds some of the downtown Los Angeles area where I work. And nearby my home, there is a tree lined block where this tree becomes a brillant purple canopy over the entire block. Great idea and scrapped so pretty too.
