Vintage mini book

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by here today,
I am sharing a little vintage
mini book that
I created using a sheet of the new paper collection
from Meg's Garden along with
collage vintage images from
also available at Meg's Garden and other
wonderful embellishments also supplied by
 Megs Garden Website

Now, this little mini book is only 8.5 cm x 11 cm
such a very small and cute vintage book.
On the cover is a Vintage Beauty image,
decorated with some Paper roses & Diamonte Trim

To create the cover I used a cabinet card
from Tim Holtz ideaology

This cabinet card in sealed on the bottom and
on both sides, with a very sharp craft knife,
I cut open the bottom and only the right
hand side of this card,
This will be the cover for the mini book.

To create the insert for the mini book, I used

a very simple folding method.
I used the French Account P6401 paper from the
 The Correspondence Collection
for the insert, this creates the
base of the pages in the mini book.
I will show how to create the insert with a
plain white piece of A4 copypaper.

1. Cut the paper to 29.5cm x 21cm (A4 size)

2. Fold it in half length wise, then in it fold in half and fold in half - two more times.
The end result is 8 equal folded parts of the paper.
3. With a sharp craft knife, cut along the middle centre fold
only, as shown with red dotted lines.

Fold the page in half and glue pages together.

Insert and cover ready to be assembled.

Decorate the cover with Vintage Image and then, adhere approx. 60cm length of ribbon inside cover before
adhering the folded insert.
Ink edges all around the book and pages.

 Decorate each page with flowers,
paper doilies
Microscope slides.

Here is a closer look inside some of the pages,
I used paper doiliesMicroscope collage vintage images and printed some quotes on paper and adhered them
to the pages.
