Meg's Garden Design Team Christmas Challenge

When my package from Meg's Garden arrived, it was like Christmas was here already.
In the box were papers, ribbons, holly, beautiful lace and these gorgeous Jewel Topped Pins, German scrap, Gold Flitter and the sound of some Jingle Bells, yes the bells were ringing.
So I decided that there was so much gorgeous goodies that I decided to do three items.
The first is a Christmas Angel page Layout.
With the sound of those Jingle Bells, it reminded me of the old classic 1946 Movie,
"It's a wonderful Life" which at the end of the movie the family gather around the christmas tree and they all say "Every time a bell rings an Angel gets its Wings".

I selected two pages of "Red and Cream Lace paper 12" x 12 , cut out the middle and cut it in half so the borders are the same all around.
The middle section with the angel is from the Mini paper Pack Christmas 1. In this pack you get 2 each of the six different styles of the Christmas 1 papers mini version. Again I cut it into half into two triangle shapes and joined together to create the same border all around.
The vintage photo in the middle is from Meg's Garden Vintage Christmas 1 collage sheet

 Meg's Garden Red & Cream Lace Paper range 12" x 12" &
Meg's Garden Mini Paper pack Christmas 1.
Meg's Garden Vintage Christmas 1 Collage sheet
Meg's Garden Lace,  Jingle Bells,  Jewel Pins,  Ribbons and Gold German scrap.

All the lace is from Meg's Garden, the gold flitter around the edge is also available from Meg's garden
Some of the flowers I created with the papers of the middle section  and some red cardstock using Tim Holtz's Tattered Florals Diecut. I have included in the centre of these flowers some other paper flowers.
The angel holding the jingle bells and the jingle bells are all available from Meg's Garden.

Next is a Christmas card,

Christmas Angels Card
Using - Meg's Garden Mini Paper Pack Christmas 1
Meg's Garden Red & Cream Lace paper 12" x 12"
Meg's Garden Jewel Pins , Lace & Green Holly
Meg's Garden Vintage Christmas 1 Collage sheet
I just love Vintage Christmas angels and vintage photos in general.
Meg's Garden has the most adorable collection of collage sheets available to purchase in
A4 sheets and 12" x 12".
Do pop in  to Meg's Garden website here  http://megsgarden.com/

My next project is a Vintage Angels Canvas

Merry Christmas Vintage Angels Canvas
Canvas size 20cm x 25.5 cm
Using Meg's Garden Vintage Christmas 1 Collage sheet
Meg's Garden Mini paper pack Christmas 1
Meg's Garden Lace, Jewel Pins

Using a canvas I painted it cream and gold then painted gesso with some tissue paper creating a distress and folded look and inked it. I made the flowers and vine leaves out of red cardstock and some of Meg's Garden Mini Christmas pack paper.  I framed a vintage christmas collage photo. Glimmermisted the beautiful Lace from Meg's Garden. This will be hanging in my family room when I decorate the room for Christmas.

The story of YOU & ME - Bird is the Word

Challenge at "Bird is the Word" currently is use the word  "YOU AND ME".
Check it out here   http://birdisthewordchallenge.blogspot.com/
So with the inspirational sketch and colour  pallette #79 from "The color Room"
check it out here  http://thecolorroom.ning.com/

The Story of YOU & ME

When I saw the sketch it reminded me of another
inspirational talented lady her name is Jane Tregenza from "Seriously Scrapbooking" Shop.
She is famous for her Patchwork Squares.
She spends hours designing her squares for us to do her classes.
They are so unique with all their bits and pieces.
I did these squares really quickly, so they are not that great as hers but they are fine for my layout.

All the chipboard I used for this layout was from, "Imaginarium Designs"
check it out here http://imaginariumdesigns.blogspot.com/
The background page is from Tim Holtz Ideaology kraft resist paper
and put some blue and tan colour on it.
And the photo was edited on a fun website called "photofunia"
It was fun playing around with it all.
Thanks for taking the time reading and looking at my blog

 Cheers *Adriana*     :)

Halloween Witch

FUN - White with 1 challenge

White with 1 challenge this month of October
Scrap a layout using WHITE  +  BLACK + PAINTS/MISTS
Visit them here  http://whitewith1.blogspot.com/
I changed the photo of DD to look like a pencil sketch.

This is a real challenge for me,  as I am not used to doing layouts
with just one or two colours.
My style has a more vintage and distressed feel and look.
No distressing here because I thought it might look a bit GREY.
It was a real challenge for me, I am sure out of my comfort zone here
but I gave it a go.
I had fun anyway playing around with black and white.
Used black paint then used a mask with texture paste for the flourish
"Imaginarium Designs" chipboards painted with black and white paint.

So, have yourself a go, challenge yourself.
Hope you have a fun weekend. :)
Thanks for visiting.
