Hi there everyone,

It's time for Sat sketch at Kaisercraft

the last one for August...

Sat Sketch #5

Hope you can join in.

Here is my layout, using the

"Take Note" paper collection.

The quote on the bottom reads,

"If you have good thoughts they will shine out

of your face like sunbeams and you will always look

lovely" -Ronald Dahl.

I do love the soft natural tones of this paper

collection, it is so versatile and there are so many

bits and pieces to cut out.

There are also so many great journalling 

prompts which are excellent for your 

project life pages.

Here is the sketch, but

I turned the sketch around on its side.

(Sorry, I have a habit of doing this)LOL

Handbag with Vintage Postcards - Meg's Garden

Hi everyone,
Vintage Challenge at Meg's Garden is on
you still have time to enter,
all the details are HERE
some fabulous prizes to win.........but 

Today I have a project which I have created for my 

Meg's Garden Design Team work for this month, 
it is a Handbag

and inside the bag are 
4 Vintage Ladies Postcards.

Using the new papers from Meg's Garden 
Designed by Denise -

 Dreaming in the Meadows and

Top Hat and Automobiles

The Bag.

I covered the outside of the bag with 

Dreaming in Lavenders paper Paper P6351

Adhered some German Scrap border
with glue around the bottom edges of the bag.

I attached a Brass Latch and hook - Scalloped 
for the closure of the bag

(there are so many to choose from

Meg's Garden website) also I

attached a Striped satin Ribbon - Brown and latte colour
 for a handle.

A spray of Viola Posy Lilac Pink and leaves

Violet Jazz fibres

I also created 4 postcards, 
which fit quite nicely inside the bag.

The size of these postcards are 9cm x 11cm

Smaller than a normal sized card and a bit

larger than an Artist trading card.

You could place these on top of card, if you like!  :)

Venezia - "Australian Scrapbooking Ideas" Issue 22

Hi everyone, hope you are all staying

warm, winter is on its last legs, soon

Spring will be here........looking forward to

some sunshine soon.

Today I am sharing a layout which is

featured in the magazine

"Australian Scrapbooking Ideas" Issue 22.

This layout is a travel one, of Venice. 

In Italian you say, "Venezia"

My commissioning projects are all 

about colour, in particularly the colour wheel 

and how we play with colour. 

Fabulous techniques and step by step on how to create them. 

I have created 4 layouts in total 

in the magazine, but today I will show

you all my favourite ones.

Lots of distressing, textures with masks and texture paste. Misting and spraying. Using a Triadic colour combination - Purple-blue-yellow-lime green.

I do love this combination of colours.

Tea Party - Kaisercraft

Hi there everyone,

one of the latest paper collection this month

from Kaisercraft is called "Tea Party"

As the name suggests, these papers are ideal for birthday parties

with hot pinks, greens and delightful blues,

this collection

is ideal for any little girl projects.

My projects were featured last week at the

Kaisercraft BLOG so here they are

if you have missed them.

Here is a Pennant banner with the word

PARTY in chipboard letters covered in glitter.

Next is another card using the paper collection.

Last of all, a Small shadow box, with a little cute cupcake made with the punched flowers

decorating the top of cupcake.

This shadow box has a little draw

small enough to hold a mini book

which I made to keep inside.

Berry71Bleu - GD - Canvas

Hello everyone,

Today I am very excited to be a back as

Guest Designing at Berry71 Bleu, showing you all

a new project that I have created with goodies from Berry71 Bleu. 

It is a small canvas, with layered

tags and embellishments all 

Zeus and Zoe Etsy Shop.

The theme for this month is using textiles 

on your project also this month I was lucky to be able to play with some wonderful products from 

Faber-Castell Gelatos  products.

I placed the gorgeous kraft tags and embellishments from Berry Bleu on a canvas.

 I created the background on the canvas with papers, stamping and also applied texture paste 

with a stencil mask.

Gently rubbing the Faber-Castell Gelatos

colour over the canvas.

 I do love the pink and

tiffany green together....what do you think?
