Happiness Blooms - layout - Le Petit Jardin Collection

Hello everyone Adriana here today and welcome back to the
Couture Creations blog -
For today I have a project (a layout) that I want to share with you all using the amazing new release collection "Le Petit Jardin"
This collection is so pretty and fresh - with touches of purple, mauve and blue. So many pretty colours and the dies are so beautiful, they match this collection so nicely.

It has such a gorgeous spring theme collection -
just perfect  for layouts and cards.
Here is my full layout that I have created with this collection.....

"Happiness blooms from within" layout by Adriana Bolzon

This collection has so many lovely dies and and chipboards -
I have used the Go Press and Foil machine to foil on top of the chipboard word sentiment for the layout with some gorgeous Purple heat activate foil - below is the step by step technique to foil on chipboards...

Foiling chipboard - with the Go Press and Foil machine
Turn machine on
Open Lid
Place think metal shim on the heat plate
Place foil coloured side down onto metal shim
Place chipboard piece
Close lid and let chipboard heat up for 30 seconds
Wind slowly through and back.

Step by step
1. Create a background with Oxide Inks in the middle of
smooth white 12x12 card stock.

2. Mat photograph with cardstock, add Le Petit papers on the the top and bottom of card stock, adding Le Petit Edge die cut out, adhering all these elements as shown below.

3. Stamp around the page with mini stamps and ink pad

4. Cut various mini dies of flowers and leaves, arrange in clusters on the bottom left and top right of photograph.

5. Add Petunia 3mm pearls in the centre of each flower.

Couture Creations Design Team 2018-2019

Hi there everyone
So, I am a little bit late, been on holidays and now catching up with my work and creative blog posts.
As you may know, I will be staying on the Couture Creations Design Team for another term.

I may have been on the Design Team for a couple of years now (since 2013)
Couture Creations is based in Brisbane in Australia.
It is an Australian Manufacture of all things paper crafting.
I believe it is important to support anything Australian, that's why I support Couture Creations.

There are so many companies in the world of paper crafting and so many new products and inspirational talented people out there, and sure I have seen, purchased and played with many products from them cause I love anything to do with paper crafting. But it is really important that we support stores and online stores that sell original manufactured wholesale products.

COUTURE CREATIONS is well known now around the paper crafting world.
Let's continue to keep it that way.

I love what I do, playing and promoting with new products.  Sharing techniques as well,  but most of all having fun with paper and glue. Because in the end that's what it is  - just paper and glue and of course, a splash of glitter or foil along the way !!!

So, please give a round of applause to the following people who have made the
Design Team2018 -2019 for Couture Creations......
they are all creative and passionate about paper and glue just like me.  !!!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FOLLOWING CREATIVES ---------

We are proud to introduce our amazing new international design team for 2018-2019 today, featuring some awesome talent from across the globe! So let's get to know them all right now:

I have been scrapbooking, card and paper crafting for over 20 years. It is a hobby and my creative out let which I am totally passionate about. I believe that preserving memories is important. You will always find me in my craft room creating, experimenting with different techniques and playing with new products. My mission is to inspire others to give it a go. Another passion of mine is creating altered art pieces, turning everyday items into works of art.  My work has been shared on many paper-crafting Design Teams and published in many paper-crafting magazines around the world. I am so excited to be creating again for Couture Creations, along with the other talented Design Team Members, we hope to inspire you all with our projects.

Hi I am Anet, my journey in card making started one day standing in a Magazine shop looking through craft magazines.  I thought it will be nice to make my own cards for someone special.
I have been making cards for 7 years.  I like to craft, colour, using dies and mixed media to create and design cards.  I like exploring new techniques and keeping abreast of new products that I can incorporate in my card designs.  I am very lucky to be on some fantastic design teams who support and encourage me.  Being on different design teams inspires me to improve even more in my card designs.

I have been making cards for as long as I can remember – well over twenty years. I steal every possible moment to play in my craft room, mostly making cards, but also dabbling in art journaling and canvases. I also make the occasional mini album, which so far, have all been given to friends. I’m a great fan of mixed media, and love getting inky.  I supply two local outlets with cards and use cardmaking for relaxation. In my “spare time” I write romance novels (in a variety of sub-genres), which can often prove challenging. I have been married for more than 43 years, have two adult children and six teenage grandchildren, some of whom share my love of crafting.

My name is Collette and I have been in love with paper all my life.
I remember cutting out and collecting those little paper dolls and their amazing wardrobes from a very young age; I still hunt them out today! I opened a craft shop 14 years ago and of course I had a HUGE papercrafting department. I really enjoyed running classes and had an amazing group of ladies who come week after week, some for 14 years! Although I love all forms of paper play, I am a passionate card maker and have a love of the more unusual ‘foundation’ cards. A few years ago I won Australia’s Card Maker of the Year, and feature most months in a variety of card making magazines. I have also been on a few Design Teams which has been amazing fun! I am a passionate YouTuber and love to bring my more creative cards to life with You Tube classes and am blessed to have thousands of followers from all around the world.

Based in Bedfordshire in the UK.  I’ve done various types of paper and needle craft for as long as I can remember (I remember my grandmother teaching me embroidery when I was 6 years old).  I’ve spent many years working in IT support before starting my family, and also as an Adult Education tutor teaching beginner IT and computer graphics courses.  I really got into card making early in 2016, having seen the demonstrations on TV shopping channels, and to begin with focussed on die cutting, and then also started to use stamping and heat embossing on my cards.  I had a GoPress & Foil as a Christmas present, and now use it with almost every card I make.   I love figuring out how to do things and sharing what I learn with others.

My name is John Bloodworth and I am, like you, an arts and craft enthusiast and have been so for over 30 years. I have previously worked as a TV producer, a role in which I created over 10,000 hours of TV and internet content about arts and crafts. Having recently completed the All Counties Craft Challenge - a creative fund raising campaign in aid of Mind, the mental health charity. - I am now engaged in a variety of activities including demonstrating arts and crafts on TV, designing my own range of products and also sharing my creative passions under my online pseudonym, Gentleman Crafter.

I started my paper journey officially in about 2000 as a shop assistant in a specialty paper store in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa after having studied Pastoral Psychology. Whilst I have been playing with paper and creating my own masterpieces at home for friends and family since the age of 10, the shop environment added the vast knowledge of handmade and imported paper as well as the common commercial types of paper. I also started teaching card making, stamping and altered art in store at the time. Scrapbooking has been a natural extension of my love for card making and stamping that also accommodates my love and passion for photography. I currently teach regular classes and host workshops around the South Africa that mainly focus on different techniques, stamping, and how to incorporate them into your scrapbooking and card making.

I am Lea-Anne Alexander, 55 and living in the friendly city of Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. I married to John, spending 31 wonderful years together. I have been crafting for most of my life and started my cottage craft business in 2006 in Cape Town. My focus since then has been designing, creating, teaching and selling unique handmade greeting cards, tags and gift bags, gift hampers and paper jewellery made from recycled magazines pages. I love sharing and interacting with fellow creative people to explore and complete projects using beautiful paper and embellishments. I am adventurous and enjoy experimenting and pushing the boundaries. I love working with new products and learning techniques that I can share with others. I endeavour to find ways of using everyday items incorporating them into craft projects. I am blessed in having a very supportive family which allows me to focus full time on my craft business, creating beautiful craft projects, publishing my designs and creations and sharing my passion with fellow crafty friends. I sell and promote my handmade paper craft projects at a local gift, corporate, schools and individual orders, at a monthly craft market and host regular workshops with our craft group. I am a firm believer in recycling, re-use, recreate, upcycle and using your stash to the maximum. I am currently on the FabScraps Throwback Thursday Design Team, belong to the Nelson Mandela Business Chamber, Business Woman’s Network and PE Camera Club.

I'm Goga from Warsaw in Poland and I have been scrapping since 2011. I like to create colorful scrapbooking works with stamps, stickers, diecuts and dies. I'm writing a scrapbook blog at Goga Crafts.com and have a one of a kind project - Psss. Goga's Spying Frenzy fanpage at Facebook about advertising scrapbooking companies from all over the world.

My name is Michelle and in the online world some of you might also know me as Mrs Frizz. I love to create with paper, cardstock, paint, mists, gesso, metal dies, canvases, flowers, chipboard, off the page projects.  I love adding ‘bitsers’ to my creativity.  I love to play a little, that really should say, I love to be creative. I work full time as an executive assistant, but when I’m not at work, friends and family know that they can find me at home in my craft room. You can normally find me playing, oops, that really should read, creating in my messy crafty space - it makes me happy.  It’s my ‘me’ time, it’s what I do to relax. I enjoy cardmaking, making tags, mixed media, anything paper related, altered art and off the page projects and yes, I do still create the occasional scrapbook layout and I love making little boxes for little treasures and trinkets for friends and family.

Have a lovely Birthday - Card - Le Petit Jardin Collection

Hello everyone Adriana here today and welcome to my next blog post for Couture Creations....
For today I have a special card that I wanted to share with you all using the amazing new release collection from Couture Creations it is called
 "Le Petit Jardin".
As the name suggests it is a gorgeous flowery garden collection - so pretty are all the embellishments and the hot foiling stamps are so amazing. As you can see in the photo - I hot foiled the Arizona Poppy beautiful hot foil stamp flower with Silver heat activated foil. The effect is really hard to capture on a photo , it looks so amazing in real life as the foiling captures the light.

So to begin with my card was created with a few background details before hot foiling the flower on top of it.

I have created a background with Oxide inks with smooth white card stock.

then I hot foiled the beautiful
"Arizona Poppy hot foil stamp" CO725422
several times around the coloured/inked card stock, before putting all the layers together to create my card. I made several of these. Using the Silver Iridescent Heat Activate foil. Moving the Hot foil stamp over the platform of my Go Press and Foil machine.

Foiling with hot foil stamps  - with the Go Press and Foil machine
Turn machine on
Open Lid
Place hot foil stamp facing up
Place foil coloured side down onto hot foil stamp
Place cardstock or paper on top
Close lid and let heat up for 30 seconds
Wind slowly through and back.

The  "Le Petit Jardincollection has so many
lovely papers, dies and chipboards as well.

Below I have listed the procedure of steps to foil onto Vellum and
foiling onto card stock or paper with hot foil stamps.

Foiling on vellum  - with the Go Press and Foil machine
Turn machine on
Open Lid
Place hot foil stamp facing up
Place foil coloured side down onto hot foil stamp
Place vellum paper on top
Place 2-3 paper shims for extra pressure
Close lid and let heat up for 30 seconds
Wind slowly through and back.

I do have a You Tube video on how to do this technique
check it out here....it might be a different hot foil sentiment but it's the same technique.

I also die cut some flowers from the collection all the materials are listed in the end of this post. Using the Silver Mirror board for some of the die cuts and also for layering a matt frame around my card.

I love the background effect on my card - it very simple and easy to do
and the effect is so professional.... tell me what you think !!!
