SWEET  - created for CSI #21 Challenge
I have a thing for banners or bunting lately, I just love them at the moment.
I have chosen from the evidence list -  ribbons, flowers, lacy border, layers.
and from the Testimony list  ribbon onto my journalling tag, which is inside the little pocket, I love you so much.
The journalling tag describes how much I love my Darling Daughter. XX

Thanks for looking and enjoy the sun :)

Mother - OUAS

I created with this sketch at "Once upon a sketch" challenge
you have only a few days left to enter here is my take.

The photo I have scrapped has a bit of history, it is a copy of a very old photo of my grandmother with 3 of her young children, the baby she is holding is of my Mother.
Taken in 1940, my mother was only a few months old.
My grandfather took the original photo with him when he was fighting in WW2.
We don’t have many photographs of the family, so this is so special to all of us.  It is a bit damaged, and you can see the creases in the photo. I must take it to a place where they can retouch it and bring to back to its original details.

Journalling reads

“Mother’s hold their children’s
hands for a short while
but their hearts forever”

With the flourish and tulip corners chipboard I painted with
Gesso and added glossy accents on it.
with the alphas I painted it with white paint,
then stamped a Prima script stamp with light grey ink
and inked the edges with vintage photo distress ink.

The layout is based on a Sketch from the talented
Nadia from the Imaginarium Design Team and also from
the challenge blog ‘Once upon a sketch”.

Green Tara Blog is here   http://greentara1.blogspot.com/

I created this layout of my DD, the top she is wearing is one of her favourite tops, she always wants to wear it everywhere.
When I received the inspirational & gorgeous goodies from Green Tara, -
Black, White & Red theme goodies,
I knew of the perfect photo to scrap.
Using Graphic 45 paper in red and vintage cream
with a bit of Kraft cardstock,  the perfect combination of colours.
I cut out a clock face from the
Graphic 45 papers and glued the frill and mini tassel
from Green Tara around the edges,
quite effective piece of embellishment for any page.

HOME SWEET HOME - ID design team project

HOME SWEET HOME  -  Vintage Quilt Hanger

Here is my next Design Team project for
"Imaginarium Designs"

HOME SWEET HOME - ID DT APRIL 2012

When I received this “Emma Frame” IDTFR0012, it reminded of my days when I did quilting and stitching. With the small rectangles and squares with the gorgeous flourish on top and inside the frames. I decided to make a mini quilt hanging piece, and have called this project “Home Sweet Home”.
First I painted the Emma frame with brown paint, then embossed ink all over the frame, sprinkled Vintage photo distress embossing powder by Tim Holtz. Heated the frame with my heating gun. The finished effect is like a soft suede mat look to the frame.
Then I cut a piece of chipboard slightly bigger than the frame
covered with it paper, inked the edges then added lace & ribbon on bottom.  I then cut out pieces of paper, placed on the underside on each opening. Inked the Letters, flourishes and tinies. Arranged embellishments. Attached clips to hold the frame on top, tied with beautiful seam binding. Then attached the finished frame on to the covered chipboard square.
