Imaginarium Designs - DT Project Feb 2012



It is now my turn at "Imaginarium Designs" Blog to show 
my Design Team projects for this month.
February is the month of LOVE, so I decided to 
create 2 projects around this theme.
My 1st project is a Mini-book & stand.
It's called,
"To my Valentine - together, forever, LOVE"

This is an altered art project which I have enjoyed making.
It is a chipboard stand with a matching mini book cover,
The Imaginarium Designs chipboards are the mini or "tinies" range
available from Imaginarium Designs website.
Lots of techniques -  with distressing, embossing and stamping.

Meg's Garden vintage image
Seam binding ribbon
Distress stains and  distress inks
Prima flowers, mini flowers
Diecut - spellbinders fancy tags,
Martha Stewart vine leaves punch, fancy doily edging.
Kaisercraft script wrinting stamp
Tim Holtz embossing folder
Embossing powder,
gesso, gold paint.
Glossy accents

Back of mini book is embossing & distressed.
I wanted to create a textured cover, produced with
a Tim Holtz embossing folder, embossing powder and
distress inks and stains
Corner framed on stand are so to be available -new releases

Mini Stand is painted, distressed inked and stamped.

My 2nd project is dedicated to the City of Love - PARIS
I call this project
"A room with a view - Paris"


My dream is to visit PARIS one day, I want to experience
this beautiful city and experience this view from my hotel window.
OHH....one day !!!! my dream will come true........but for now
I can only look at this page I have created.

ID Chipboard - window with lattice & shutter - IDS0016
ID Mini alpha chipboards - IDA005

Painted the chipboard with gesso, then applied texture paste
to give a rustic texture to the chipboard,
inked the edges with chalk inks.
The alphas are inked with Bamboo & Brown chalk inks
and glossy accents on top.

OMG Adriana! the Paris page is just out of this world! love how you created the banner with mini frames and fans. I have been several times to Paris so I know from experience that you'll just fall in love with that city. Fantastic view you have created!
