Couture Creation - Framed Shadow Box

Hello there everyone is it my turn again for show and tell at
Today I have created a Framed Shadow Box, using the
Romantique collection Embossing folders - Annalee .
I created the outside of this frame with this embossing folder.

Firstly apply some foil tape sheet to some kraft cardstock
then placed it inside the
and embossed with manual embossing machine.

Mitre the corners of each foil strip and assemble them on a piece of black cardstock
to create a square frame. Like shown below.

Apply a combination of Black, Brushed Pewter & Tarnished Brass Paint all over the Embossed foil, rubbing with a cloth very gently.
It might require a few coats to get the look you want, then leave to dry.

Cut out the centre square and attach a small box behind the hole
to create a shadow box effect.

Decorate the outside of frame with flowers, leaves &
also place a small nest inside the
Shadow Box.

Berry Bleu August - Guest Designer

Hello everyone
Today I am very excited to be a
Guest Designer at Berry 71 Bleu for this month
Check out my intro Berry71Bleu

Marivic does a such an amazing job with her tags, they are so pretty.
with lots of wonderful handmade embellishments too.

I created a layout and added the lush tag in the bottom corner.

Inside the product box were some gorgeous handmade doilies
and some wonderful jewelled clustered flowers, all which are available HERE

The theme for this month is using textiles
on your project
I have used the lush velvet ribbon
and handmade cluster of doilies on my layout.
Also I got to play with the wonderful products from Faber-Castell Design-Memory-Craft products.
I placed the gorgeous tag from Berry Bleu on the bottom right hand corner....just divine.

Using a stencil and Faber-Castell Gelatos' I created the background leaves, rubbing it here and there with my fingers.

The textiles I have are layered doilies, fabric flowers and velvet/lace ribbon.

I hope I've inspired you all to create with  this month!!

Couture Creations Birthday Card

Hello there everyone,
is it my turn again today here at Couture Creations.
Today I have a Card that I have created for a young teenager who is turning "15".

Using card stock from Core'dinations called Black Magic and
Couture Creations - Peacock Pleasure embossing folder from the Fresh & Fun collection
Sanding block, and Glitzing Glamour Gold Glitter

Embossed the cardstock with the Peacock Pleasure embossing folder
from the Fresh & Fun collection

I lightly sanded the cardstock with the Couture Creations Sanding Block
this show up the blue cardstock underneath the black.
A Very striking effect , then I applied some
Glitzing Glamour Gold Glitter in the centres of each embossed circle,
 and leave to dry.

I embossed some blue cardstock and made it
into a fish tail banner and
then applied some chipboards numerals which I painted
gold paint and applied Glitzing Glamour Gold Glitter

Once dry, I applied it to some cardstock to create the card.
Very simple and easy.

Shine - "Scrap Around the World" August challenge

Hi there everyone,
I just can't believe that August is here
and soon it will be Christmas....(only 4 months away)
where does the time go!!!!!.....
Today I am sharing a layout based on the mood board and sketch from the
SCRAP AROUND THE WORLD challenge for August.

Here is my layout
titled, SHINE

The journalling written on the side is based on the song by Vanessa Amorosi's song with the same title, SHINE.
"Nothing last forever but you can try.
Look all around YOU, Everyone you see,
Everyone you know, is going to SHINE."

"Including you -
Grow up and make the best of
what you got!"

Scrap Around The World Designer Eila Sandberg together with
a sketch from their resident sketch designer, Jules McKenna-De Lumen!

and all the details on how to enter are
here on the
SCRAP AROUND THE WORLD blog
also there are some fabulous prizes up for grabs, so... check it out.

The photo in my layout is of my DD,
the sun was just shining on her head
at the moment I took this photo of her, in the park.
I have been meaning to scrap this
photo for a long time, and now I have.

With a little inspiration from the wonderful sketch
I also picked 2 of the photos for inspirational colours.
I picked the bottom left hand corner photo and
the photo on the top right hand photo,
with the glittery and lacey
hair pieces in the hair.

I added glitter to the chipboards and with
the soft pastels flowers, texture paste and paint
I created my Shine layout.

Materials used:
Imaginarium Design chipboard clock & alphas
Kaisercraft Base coat paper & Leaf stencil.
Prima leaves, flowers and beaded flourish.
Weathered wood paints
Texture paste.
Bronze spray mist from Tattered angels
Glass glitter and lace from Meg's Garden
Distress tool and Vintage Photo
Distress inkpad.

Thanks all for looking and commenting
have a great Weekend everyone.

Cheers
Adriana  :) XX
