Special Occasion - Gold Leaf banner die

Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by here today at the 
Couture Creations blog. Its my turn today on the blog and today I am showcasing a die from the "Special Occasions' Collection.



The new "Special Occasions" collection is available now. I love some of the dies in this collection - I have one which is so perfect for cards and other projects. 
It is the "Gold Leaf Banner" decorative die. ULT157918.


I have used this die cut as a feature on my two cards for today  - it is so versatile that I also created a Birthday card and also a Christmas card with the new soon to be released "Highland Christmas"
but first how to create this card - step by step.




Using a 5'x7' (18cmx 12.75cm) card base.
Cut one piece of Gold Damask mirror board CO725405 measuring 12cm x 17cm, 
Adhere to the front of white card.
Cut one piece of Ice Crystal card stock ULT200019 measuring 11.5cm x 16.5cm
Place inside C'est La Vie Intricate Background Embossing folder CO725768
Adhere to the front of card, as shown in photograph.
Cut 1 - Gold Leaf Banner with matte Gold mirror board CO725410.
Measure 5cm and cut - adhere to the front of card, leaving a gap in the lower section of banner, this will be covered with flowers and sentiment.



Hot foil the sentiment "Birthday wishes to You" with the Go Press & Foil machine and Gold matte heat activated foil with smooth white glossy card CO726233.

Instructions for hot foil sentiment on card stock with the 
Go Press & Foil machine
Turn the machine on
Open Lid
Place hot foil stamp on Heat plate
Place cut foil coloured side down
Place white glossy card on top
Close lid and let it heat through for 30-40 seconds
Wind slowly through and back in your die cutting machine.

Trim the foiled sentiment, matt a frame of Gold mirror board.
Arrange and secure all pieces as shown in photo.
Decorate with flowers and leaves. Adding some touches of gold foiling on the embossed card stock.





and now here is my second card using the same banner die with the new collection soon to be released
"Highland Christmas"


I created the flowers with Couture Creations Foamiran sheets and a poinsettia flower die ..... how wonderful does the gold go with this gorgeous Christmas paper collection, "Highland Christmas" papers will be available soon.

Special Invitation for a Special Occasion

Hello there everyone,  today I have a created a very special Invitation card and Special Happy Anniversary card with touches of silver foiling all created in conjunction with 
Go Press and Foil Machine and foils and the wonderful papers and dies from the new collection
Special Occasions.

A very special invitation and a Silver Happy Anniversary card.

Materials for the base of both cards were created with one sheet of
Mirror Board - Silver Damask A4 sheet CO726219, 
cut in half down the centre, portrait length, 
Fold in the centre of each card stock.



Here how to create the elements on this invitation card
with the Go Press & Foil Machine, silver foil and dies from the 
Special Occassion collection.

Cut one piece of Special Occasions paper - Silver Damask foiled CO726402 measuring 14cm x 9.5cm, adhere to the front of folded Damask silver mirror board.
Cut 2 Acanthus Corner die with Damask silver mirror board.
Hot foil the sentiment "Invitation" with the Go Press & Foil machine and silver heat activated foil with smooth white glossy card CO726233.

Instructions for hot foil sentiment on card stock with the 
Go Press & Foil machine
Turn the machine on
Open Lid
Place hot foil stamp on Heat plate
Place cut foil coloured side down
Place white glossy card on top
Close lid and let it heat through for 30-40 seconds
Wind slowly through and back in your die cutting machine.

Trim the foiled sentiment, matt a frame of silver damask mirror board.
Arrange and secure all pieces as shown in photo.
Invitation cover ready for you to insert all details of the special occasion party inside the card.



Here how to create the elements on this Happy Anniversary card
with the Go Press & Foil Machine, silver foil and dies from the 
Special Occassion collection.




Using the other piece of Silver Damask Mirror board and cutting a piece of the 
Special Occasions Silver Damask foiled paper CO726402 measuring 14cm x 9.5cm, adhere to the front of folded Damask silver mirror board.

Cut 1 piece of the Gold Leaf Banner die with Damask silver mirror board,
adhere to the centre of card.



Hot foil the sentiment "Happy Anniversary" with the Go Press & Foil machine and silver matte heat activated foil with smooth white glossy card.

Instructions for hot foil sentiment on card stock with the 
Go Press & Foil machine
Turn the machine on
Open Lid
Place hot foil stamp on Heat plate
Place cut foil coloured side down
Place white glossy card on top
Close lid and let it heat through for 30-40 seconds
Wind slowly through and back in your die cutting machine.

Trim the foiled sentiment by using a vintage rectangle nesting die.
Arrange and secure all pieces as shown in photo.
Cut flowers with some of the Special Occasions Silver Damask foiled paper CO726402 and flower die - add punched out silver leaves.
Add a centre self adhesive pearl in the centre of flower.

Perfect Time to Remember - Seaside & Me Collection

Hello there everyone, thanks for stopping by,  today I have another 
Seaside and Me layout.

Using the Seaside and Me collection of ephemera and dies to complete the layout , I couldn't resist adding some flowers to the layout, to show you all how versatile these papers are. 




To begin with creating this layout, I have chosen three papers from the collection.









Using the C'est la Vie Background stencil CO725772 and spreading the 
Anna Griffin Embossing Paste CO724870 over the top of the stencil , I then sprinkling some white glitter over the embossing paste and heat set with heat gun. I love the texture and effect of the embossing paste with glitter.



The title chipboard has been inked with blue ink pad.

How cute is this little crab die !!  
I also cut a Mini lighthouse decorative die CO726164 then added some Anna Griffin White Gesso over the top of the the lighthouse.

I then cut 2 Seashells border die CO726174  for the top and bottom 
of the layout. Added all my flowers and leaves,

Golden Happy Birthday Card

Hello there everyone,  today I have a special Happy Birthday card, with touches of gold foiling and some techniques all created in conjunction with the
fabulous Go Press and Foil Machine and foils.

The Hot-foil stamps that I created with are from a special set of hot foil stamps
Couture Creations CO726409 (there are 3 hot foil stamp set- which includes a word sentiment "Happy Birthday", branch tree and a flourish scroll)

I also have made a special video showing all the details on how I foiled the ribbon, the word sentiment and how I created the special branch leaf background. I try to keep my You Tube video short and sweet - the link to video is at the end of this blog post.
