Merry Christmas Kookaburra - Art journal page

Hi everyone, Adriana here today and welcome to the Couture Creations Blog. I have been playing in my art journal again, it is very relaxing and so much fun creating and playing in my journal.

Since Christmas is only a few weeks away, I have created a Merry Christmas page with a touch of Australiana.  This could easily be created for a card instead of journal page.

Using the Couture Creations - Metallic Alloy Alcohol inks for the background, with some stamping elements from 

The GIFT OF GIVING & 

SWEEPING PLAINS collection.

I created the background on yupo paper 5x7

Using Cinnamon Metallic Alloy Alcohol Ink

and also Champagne Metallic Alcohol Ink

The Metallic Alcohol Inks give such a beautiful shimmery effect on the Yupo paper. I really love these collection of Alcohol Inks.

My tutorial video shows you how to create this page from start to finish.

I try to keep my video under 10 mins so that you get feel of how I created my project. Some sections are fast forwarded so that you don't get bored, BUT you can pause the Video at anytime by pausing or stopping the button on the bottom of the screen.

Once the alcohol inks are dry on the Yupo paper, I added some stamping elements

and also created my Kookaburra with the

SWEEPING PLAINS - Kookaburra Mini stamp and die set.

Also adding some poinsettias cut from the 12 x 12 paper

Wild At Heart - Imaginarium Designs

Hello everyone, 
Today, I am excited to be back at "Imaginarium Designs blog as a Guest Designer this month, using chipboards to create a layout.

Here is my layout -

"WILD AT HEART"
I used the papers and stamp set and flowers from a Christmas collection
"Season's Greetings" from Couture Creations. I just want to also show you Christmas collections of papers and embellishments really can be used for other themes projects.

Below is the word title "WILD AT HEART" chipboard  IDP0181, in which I applied a couple of coats of gesso.I love how the white stands out from all the red and brown tones.

I inked all the hearts shapes from the chipboard called
"LOU's HEART SHAPES"  IDDL0015, also adding some glossy accents on top.

I also inked some of the NAT"S HAND DRAWN LEAVES" IDDL0015 with green ink pad and adhered around, underneath the flowers.

Vintage Christmas Accordian Card

Hello there everyone, Adriana here today and I have 
I have created a special Christmas card with the new release 
Christmas Emporium papers C0724553 from  
 Couture Creations.

I love anything Vintage, and Vintage photos are my favourite images
to craft and play with. This collection has a sheet of Ephemera Christmas vintage  postcard images and also there is an Ephemera Chipboard pack C0724554 with Sentiments, just perfect for your Christmas cards or projects.

This is my accordion card, created with two square 15cm x 15cm cards adhered together, I used Kraft card stock for the base.
I trimmed 2 sheets of christmas papers for the base and adhered into
the centre of each card face (6 card faces)

I Decorated each side of the card with vintage photos and fussy cut papers.

All together there are 5 other sides and the front to decorate.

Front of card - Cut out some holly leaves and die cut poinsettia's flower, edged with Glitzing Glitter C0721971 Crystalina. 

Placing 3D foam tape or dots underneath "Merry Christmas" sentiment sign.

Side no. 2


I matted all the vintage image with some cream card stock and place photo corners on each corner of the photos. Fuzzy cut a small wreath and cut out the words "Merry Christmas"and adhered to the wreath.

Side no. 3

With some Kraft card stock I cut out "Vintage signs" Nesting die C08723956
Cut out the rectangle words frame with sentiment.
Fussy cut bird and holly leaves.

Side no. 4

Fuzzy cutting the holly and bird from christmas papers.

Again I matted the vintage image with some cream card stock and place photo corners on each corner of the photos. Inked some ID chipboard word "remember" with red ink pad.

Side no. 6

With some Kraft card stock I cut out "Vintage signs" Nesting die C08723956
Cut out the rectangle words frame with sentiments.
