Breathe the Salt Air - Vintage Card

Hello there everyone, thanks for stopping by here. 
Today, I am sharing a card that I have created with 
Artdeco / Couture Creations paper and products. It has been very cold here in Australia for the past few days, very cold…. but it is a great time for creating some cards  and doing some crafting time :)

SEA BREEZE  papers are designed by Denise Boddey 
which they are now available at your local scrapbooking store. 

Using the die set  "Seagulls over the Ocean" and along with the stamp set "Beside the Beach" and using the sentiments 

"Breathe the Salt Air" for the front of my card.

I used one of the Vintage postcards images from the Ephemera set "C0724681"

This is the die cut I created with
I cut the waves section from the die cut - a beautiful flourish :)

Scrap Africa - Colour challenge

Hi there everyone,

Today I am so super excited to be a 

special Guest Designer at

"Scrap Africa"

Today is the release of their new colour challenge
for this month

and HERE are the details on how to enter,

some wonderful great prizes too.

Here is my layout base on the

challenge- 
BLUE  GREEN WHITE and 

more than 1 photo.

Now let me tell you I was very much

out of my comfort zone here with all the

bright colours. Not really my cup of tea

as they say.....but I was happy how it turned out.

With lots of paints, inking and stamping to

create the background.

My cardstock was already embossed with a design

(I do love this type of cardstock)

"TIME FLIES WHEN YOU ARE HAVING FUN"

Other materials used:

Imaginarium Designs - word quote and shapes

Flowers (mixture from Manor House and Crochet flowers from Couture Creations)

Lace from Meg's Garden.

CSI#29 - SHADES

"The future is so bright, I gotta wear shades."

Do you remember that song, with these words in it, 
I know it was a long time ago!!!!.

I had this photo of my DD wearing shades for the first time many summers ago, I saw the challenge

at CSI check it out here

CSI NING and had to play along with this one.

Love the colour palette in this challenge, 

it just screams summer.

For the Evidence I have chosen - Stripes - (well i think they are more criss cross yellow stripes), the other evidence is that I painted and sanded the wooden pop sticks, and 

also placed the photo at an slight angle.

Testimony - documenting a summer experience, wearing shades for a hot summer day.

BITW CHANGE

"I love you not only for

Over at "Bird is the Word"

is CHANGE.

use this word in the title of your layout

also they have a sketch for inspiration

but you don't have to use it.

"Don't CHANGE a thing." layout I created with this word.

"Don't change a thing"

I created this layout using the wonderful collection of

Kaisercraft papers called "The Lake House"

these are so pretty and gorgeous, 

with flowers, vines in dusty pinks & greens

with a hint of dark brown 

just my cup of tea in papers.

Using the sketch for inspiration, instead of using a lamp-post

I decided to make a "Tree of Life", well that's what I call it.

I think I will have to use this tree of life again sometime.

It is a tree with leaves and little blue birds with inspiration words 

LOVE,  CHERISH,  MOMENTS and LIVE scattered in the

branches. 

BITW word is CHANGE and sketch.
