Berry71Bleu February Guest Artist

Hello Everyone, today I am Guest Artist at a fabulous monthly challenge site called  "Berry71Bleu"
Thank you to the lovely Denise Van Deventer for Inviting me to join in this month. Each month a new Mood Board is published.

This month for February the Mood Board Challenge is a really
gorgeous mood board. Take a look…..

But firstly a little about myself,

My name is Adriana Bolzon,
I have been a devoted Scrapbooker, card and paper crafter for over 15 years.  You will always find me in my craft room creating, experimenting with different techniques and products, and hopefully inspired others to give it a go. It is a hobby and creative outlet, which I am totally passionate about. I believe that preserving memories are important, and scrapbooking is a great way to create lasting treasures to keep or to give as gifts.  My style is very classic with a distressed, shabby chic and vintage twist. Another passion of mine is creating altered art pieces, turning everyday items into works of art.  My work has been published in many Paper-crafting magazines around the world, and also featured on online scrapbooking forums.

I live in beautiful South Australia with my husband & daughter. I am very fortunate to have been on many paper crafting Design Teams including Kaisercraft, Couture Creations (Artdeco Creations) and many more.

You can find my creations and more inspiration here on my blog:

Here is my project for the challenge….

I took inspiration from the beautiful pinks, flowers and the small window frames of the old phone booth and created this framed Off the page project.

I covered the whole frame with white gesso and then
added some muslin cloth to soften around the edges.
Using the new release papers and dies from
Ultimate Crafts -
Artdeco Creations - Couture Creations

using these collections "Enchanted Tea Party" collection of papers, dies & stamps
"L"Aquarelle" papers, stamps & dies

I cut the dies and covered some of the dies with embossing powders

Using the stamp set from the
Ultimate Crafts L'aquarelle stamp set ULT157796
for the flowers of the vase.

Love this dragonfly die Ultimate Crafts L'Aquarelle Dragonfly Die set ULT157785 - I heat embossed the wings and body.

You have until 28 Feb to upload your project HERE

Halloween Layout & Card - Imaginarium Designs

Hello everyone and here we are at the end of October,
tomorrow will be
31st and most children will be getting excited about
one event that takes place on this day.

Halloween night

Here in Australia we don't really
celebrate this event, but it is slowing catching on with the local children.
My daughter loves to get dressed as a witch putting on her hat  and black dress
and riding a little broom stick.
Knocking only on the a few local houses that participate on this occasion
with "trick or treat".

Today I am Guest Designer at Imaginarium Designs chipboards, so I decided to createa layout and card, to mark this "Happy Halloween" Day.

"SPOOKY WITCH"

I painted all the chipboard with Black gesso.
Adding white gesso on top of the Picket fence.

Once the black gesso was dry I added Glitzen Glitter - (Black) and with my finger, I spreader it around the chipboard.
The chipboard witch was enlarged for my layout.

I did the same for the Alphas letter - painted them with purple paint and then spreading some Glitzen Glitter - (purple) around the alphas.

I had to put a plastic spider in the flower cluster with the spider web as well. !!

and for my Halloween card

I painted all the chipboards with black gesso and purple paint for the alphas, applying some Glitzen Glitter on the witch and alphas.

Using Copper Bronze Embossing Powders on the Orate Chipboard Border.

This card was created with Couture Creations "Wild & Free" papers

My Favourite Destination - ID Chipboards

Hello everyone,

Adriana Bolzon  here today and I am super excited to share with you all, a layout that I have created using some of the fabulous chipboards from "Imaginarium Designs"…. In my layout I tried to make the chipboard compliment my layout photo, the photo is of the the Acropolis of Athens. This is one of my favourite destinations, I do have a few other places I would love to go. We were very lucky to go there and it is an amazing place. I love to visit ancient and lost worlds, this one is mostly in ruins. I wanted the chipboard to look rustic and aged looking too.

The papers are from the Couture Creations "Sea Breeze" designed by Denise Boddey. Firstly I created a textured background for my layout with stamping, texture paste and stencils.

Next I applied thick white gesso to all the chipboard pieces, once dried, I embossed with Ranger Vintage Photo Distress embossing powder. The chipboards now have a great rustic and vintage look to them. This embossing powder doesn't make the chipboard glossy, it is really lovely matt finish to the chipboards

The photo frame I cut in half and adhered it to each side of my photo.

I also adhered some chipboard words at the bottom of my page, and some very delicate vines.

here are all the Imaginarium Designs chipboards that I used for my layout.
Until next time, Thanks for looking :)

I will be back later this month with another project with the great
chipboards from Imaginarium Designs

Cheers Adriana Bolzon XXX
