I created with this sketch at "Once upon a sketch" challenge
you have only a few days left to enter here is my take.
The photo I have scrapped has a
bit of history, it is a copy of a very old photo of my grandmother with 3 of
her young children, the baby she is holding is of my Mother.
Taken in 1940, my mother was only a few months old.
Taken in 1940, my mother was only a few months old.
My grandfather
took the original photo with him when he was fighting in WW2.
We don’t have
many photographs of the family, so this is so special to all of us. It is a bit damaged, and you can see the
creases in the photo. I must take it to a place where they can retouch it and
bring to back to its original details.
Journalling reads
“Mother’s hold their
children’s
hands for a short while
but their hearts
forever”
With the flourish and tulip corners chipboard I
painted with
Gesso and added glossy accents on it.
with the alphas I painted it with white paint,
then stamped a Prima script stamp with light grey ink
and inked the edges with vintage photo distress ink.
The layout is based on a Sketch from the talented
Nadia from the Imaginarium Design Team and also from
the challenge blog ‘Once upon a sketch”.
