Hello everyone, today I wanted to share a special off the page project, created with one of the Couture Creations "Modern Essentials"Cut, foil and emboss die frames, in particular the Nesting Bracket frames CO726459. Using this nesting frame to create a special effect of illusion of a shadow box frame.
These dies can be used with the Go Press and Foil Machine to achieve the foiled edges around the shape, but they can also be used in your normal manual die cutting machine. For my project, once I cut the dies out I inked around the edges of the left overs from the nesting dies - then layered them on top of each other. This creates a shadow effect illusion. I have set my project inside a simple white frame - I hope you like... I then foiled some of the foliages with the Lavish Ballroom collection "Sweeping Botanicals" CO725909 and Lavish Ballroom "Young Stems" CO725904 Adding some diecut flowers from the C'est Le Vie collection... Using another cut and foil die the Nouveau Cut, Foil"Hanging Cage" CO725846, this time I just inked the die with an ink pad and ran it through the die cutting machine.

Hi there everyone and welcome back, today on the Couture Creations blog I have created a very special card with the new release "Cut, Foil and Emboss" dies "LAVISH BALLROOM" I have created a tri foil card using a couple of different techniques with the Go Press and Foil machine.... I have listed step by step instructions using the different techniques below... Lovely Birthday Card by Adriana Bolzon
I used the following Lavish Ballroom Cut, Foil and Emboss dies Sweeping Botanicals CO725909 Young Stems CO725904 to create all the lovely swirling leaves and flowers and for the background effect I used the Special Occassions Floral Vine Background die ULT157937 to create a background with Gold Foiling, remembering with using normal dies the cutting edge will be imprinted on the cardstock with the Foiling, using the Go Press and Foil machine. To create the base of the card - measure, cut and score white card stock as below.. for the inserts measure slightly smaller panels 0.5cm or 50mm of each side of the three panels in back card stock The technique and sandwich combination to foil with the Go Press and Foil machine with your normal die - to create an imprint of the die on to card stock is as follows FOILING WITH THIN CUTTING DIES Turn machine on Open Lid Place cutting die side up Place foil coloured side down Place card stock on top Close lid and let die heat up for 30 seconds Wind slowing through and back in your die cutting machine. *** Technique for foiling with hot foil stamp with the Go Press & Foil machine FOILING WITH HOT FOIL STAMPING (I used the the "HAVE A LOVELY BIRTHDAY" word sentiment ULT158113 and also the Frame hot foil stamp Cameo Frame CO725751)
Turn machine on Open Lid Place hot foil stamp on heat plate Place foil coloured side down Place card stock on top Close lid and let it heat up for 30 seconds Wind slowly through and back in your die cutting machine. *** FOILING WITH CUT, FOIL AND EMBOSS DIES Turn machine on Open Lid Place Metal Conversion plate CO725818 on top of platform Place Cut, foil and emboss die on top metal conversion plate Place foil coloured side down Place card stock on top Close lid and let it heat up for 30 seconds WInd slowly through and back in your die cutting machine. *** The finished die will be cut and foil and embossed at the same time, how cool is that!!!!! Arrange all pieces with foam tape around the card Adding some butterflies and applying some glue on top of the butterfies rubbing some gold foiling over the butterflies. Hi there everyone and welcome back, I am so excited about showing off my latest project using the new release Couture Creations "Cut, Foil and Emboss" dies "LAVISH BALLROOM" These special dies are to be used inconjunction with the fabulous GO PRESS AND FOIL MACHINE, BUT also can be used as a normal cutting die. You can stamp inks on them and past them also through your die cutting machine. Today, I used the Lavish Ballroom - "Hydrangea" Cut, foil and emboss die CO725900 formy layout. I use Phantom purple heat activated foil CO725704 with my Go Press and Foil machine, then once foiled, cut and embossed, I then added some Oxides ink colour to them. They look amazing once they are coloured in. I have created a very quick video on how to do this technique ....... so check it out on my You Tube channel.
